Out Foxed I and II by creaturesfromel Out Foxed I and II by creaturesfromel

Mixed media foxes with tiger moths

In this pair I was trying to consider the dualities of confident and passive, above and below ground

-made of air clay/wire/paint/glass/powdered pigment/cold porcelain

no actual animal parts were used <3

Everytime I'm amazed by your work. Your sense for the detail is incredible.

Your sense of balance is wonderful. A lot of the work looks so heavy you'd think it would fall over, but since it doesn't it gives the piece a very surreal sense.

Your sculptures are magnificent! I love the way you combine elements in unexpected ways and yet it all feels very natural and like it belongs as part of the whole. :)

These two are stunning! I believe you captured these dualties perfectly well!
They look so delicate... it makes me wonder how the foxes can be so well supported by such thin materials.

You truly are a master of sculpting. :)

all the forms in this sculpture have a flowing movement to them that -combined with the watercolour-like pigments-really convince the viewer that it's a painting.
pretty badass.
