This one is 12x11x7” and is ‘mixed media’ like all my sculptures (a mix of air drying clays, epoxie clay, wire armature, glass eyes, acrylic paint and lacquered finished) and hand sculpted as the others are.

I am doing a sculpture on a phoenix very soon, and your model has inspired me greatly!
I wonder, would you answer some questions for me?
I want to know, what did you use for those colours? i see many sculptures with beautiful colours and shades, but i can never get the right type - i can never get my colours to blend. should i use water, or will that affect my clay?
I also use air dry clay, but i have been given some DAS clay... would that work the same? I do not own a kiln...
Other than that, amazing work!
The phoenix i have in mind is substantially different, so don't worry, i won't be copying your sculpture. but may i use it as a reference? I love the detail...
